I don’t know if I’m done with the character series yet or not, but this is something that I’ve been thinking about for weeks, months really, and just wanted to share it with you. After talking with friends, it seems to be something lots of people struggle with, and while I wish I could say I have it all figured out, I don’t. I’m working on it. But if we wait until we have it all figured out before we share and encourage someone else, then we’d never do it. So here’s a snapshot into my journey to find my voice and I hope it speaks to your heart and opens your eyes to how vital your voice is to those around you. Continue Reading
Faith stands at the edge of your unborn tomorrows and whispers deep into your soul – it will happen. I saw this quote on Dr. Stephen Swisher’s Facebook page early last year and it immediately went into my Life Notes and is now also written on the May page of my calendar. And inside I could hear the truth pounding in my head and my heart. I wanted to say “I’m not good. I have so many, many heavy things on my heart and I can’t see the breakthrough yet. I know it’s coming. I know God is going to show up. But right now, I can’t see it.” I wanted desperately to tell the truth. But those aren’t the words that came. Continue Reading
This week in our character series, I wanted to talk about Gratitude. My search for a great quote led me to many that really resonated with me. It was hard to choose …so I probably won’t pick just one 🙂 I’m starting off with this – “Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow.” Melody BeattieContinue Reading
Continuing our series on character, this week I want to talk about Integrity. This is not always an easy one. Sometimes the right thing is the hardest to do. We strive to teach integrity to our children and model it before them every day. And there are times we screw it all up. But I want to encourage you today…because that’s what we do around here 🙂Continue Reading
